Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima says the Metal Gear Solid saga ends with The Phantom Pain. Would you want to see more games made by someone else? Written By: Ashley Jenkins and …
I have been a fan of the Metal Gear Solid series since MGS2, and they’ve
gotten much better over the years. (Except Metal Gear Revengeance… We
don’t talk about that one) And I’m really sad to see the series go. But
from what I’ve seen in MGS5: Ground Zeroes, Phantom Pain is gonna be an
epic send off to an amazing series. Only thing I’m not looking forward to,
David Hayter isn’t voicing Snake, which kinda sucks, but thankfully they
said Kiefer Sutherland wouldn’t have many lines in the game, so that sort
of numbs that pain I guess.
But this one is going to be the first Metal Gear I play! Now it’s ending!?
I don’t want to play the old games since I am too used to the current
graphics!
Not the end of Metal Gear, Kojima was careful to say that it’s the end of
the Metal Gear Solid saga. MG existed before the Solid games and he
suggests that it will after too.
i love metal gear and yeah i’d be sad to see it end but every good story
needs an ending so it’s better to just end the series on a high note than
to just keep on dragging it till it becomes a bad joke
and personally i think we’ll still be getting MGS games only they’ll be
without kojima…and i don’t really know if that’ll peak my interest in any
way so let’s wait and see
This is KH all over again. everyone thought KH 3 was the last but it is
only the end of the Xenoheart arc. Seems here he said the Metal Gear arc is
over but not the world. Heck the fact Rising is getting a new game kinda
debunks what he said.
Good because Kojima tried WAY too many things in MGSV and lost touch with
what the series was really about. I mean how can you take out codec.
F**king codec is the best part of MGS by far and you take it out to make it
more like Splinter Cell? The series was good while it lasted.
I’ll be surprised if this actually is his last Metal Gear, Konami will
probably drag him back into making another one, just like they always do,
maybe it’ll be a prequel with The Boss, or maybe a remake of the original
Metal Gear 1&2, who knows :/
We all know this won’t be the end. There will be a spin off of some type.
Its too well established of a game franchise to just end.

Konami is a terrible Dev studio anyways a one trick pony that wants to milk
all the cash it can out of their fans…
